Mission Statement
The Pennsylvania Association for Healthcare Documentation Integrity, in partnership with AHDI and our local chapters, encourages and supports medical transcriptionists to pursue professional development, further education, and certification; connects members through networking; and promotes the profession through advocacy within our state and beyond.

A Brief History
PA-AHDI is a recognized state/regional association of the American Association for Healthcare Documentation Integrity since May 1987. AHDI itself was only 9 years old when Pennsylvania sought recognition. In PA-AHDI’s first year we sought three major goals: Recognition, Communication and Representation. Over the years we have achieved our goals and continue to be recognized with nearly 300 members.
